Hey there! My name is Mikaela Lewis. I am currently a junior attending Texas State University in beautiful San Marcos, Texas. I am majoring in Mass Communication and Advertising with a concentration in Digital Media and a minor in Art and Design. I'm a yankee at heart as I was born in Vermont, and my family has recently moved back home after living in Texas for 10 years. I have also lived in Tampa, Florida before moving to Graham, Texas where I attended junior high and high school. Attending college so far away from home has been a big adjustment to my life, but the longer I live in San Marvelous the more I fall in love with it here and know it's worth it to attend a university that provides me with opportunities like this one does.
My major is my passion, especially my media-based classes. With these courses I am able to expand my digital skills that I'm positive will greatly benefit me in the future. Having the opportunity to be introduced to website design and publishing such as coding HTML, practicing with graphic and multimedia programs and so much more is exactly what I love to learn about and am anxious to continue expanding my skills. I hope to one day incorporate my passion for art and design and apply it to my career in the advertising and/or marketing field.
In my spare time I love to watch makeup tutorials and experimenting with different techniques I pick up from watching professional beauty vloggers and adding to my makeup collection as much as possible. I love Chinese food, painting, photography and traveling. My favorite artists are Salvador Dali, Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet.
